Unless it was a solid lead slug...longer range
Or a sabot type slug, still longer range...and something like getting hit with a sledge hammer. The conventioal rifled slug, Foster or Brenke, would be pretty much equivalent to being shot with a Revolutionary war era Pennsylvania Rifle. The sabot slug would be worse. Either probably good to 100 yards, especially the sabot type. The sabots take a special shotgun though to get maximum range and accuracy, one with a rifled barrel.
