You know I've heard this assertion throughout this sniper mess and have decided I don't believe it.
First, the Democrats haven't picked this mantra up and if it would help KKT get elected it would be shouted from the roof tops.
Next, I know Merryland is a liberal hell but I'm not convinced that right now even in this state full of idealogical idiots that mentioning gun control would go over all that well.
Merryland citizens are not all that happy about the turn of events of late and even the most liberal hate feeling helpless. Right about now in this state with the most restrictive of gun control laws, I've a feeling quite a few folks would positively revolt if any politician should mention taking away CITIZENS' guns.
You know the old saying....a liberal becomes a conservative just as soon as he gets mugged.
Here in Merryland I'm thinking soon the citizens are going to DEMAND their own guns.
Just a gut feeling but I think that sniper might change this state for the better in that bittersweet way that Bin Laden renewed this country's patriotic fervor.

If the gun has a good scope, anyone could make those shots. The people (victims) were pretty much holding still, rather than fast moving targets.
