Quite a few pinned scraps of paper or business cards bearing their names to their clothes before they jumped. That was the only hope they had left -- that their remains could be identified so their loved ones would have something to bury. I heard this from the husband of a senior Marsh & McLennan executive who was speaking to some of the employees by phone as this was going on.
We owe it to these people to utterly destroy radical Islam.

I didn't know the detail about the pinned scraps of paper or business cards. Heart-rending. Sometimes all I can do is shake my head in sorrow and wonder as I learn more and more of these details. You are absolutely right that we owe it to these people and to those of us left behind, as well as future generations to utterly destroy radical Islam.
