No offense taken, and you got a bit of sleep-deprived crankiness from me in this regard.

But there was a serious point, which is this: the Republican party, flawed as it is, is the only organization that can stop the Democrats. Simon is the nominee, and deserves support out of realpolitik, if nothing else. The media and Davis are in bed, with an ill-concealed 'message' designed to demoralize the base and poison Simon with the independents, primarily because Davis, like many Democrats, is unable to run on any positive message.

So, from now until November 5, I will utter no ill word regarding any Republican candidate, and will spend what time and treasure I have in unstinting support. After November 5, regardless of the outcome of the elections, the gloves come off, as there is much work to do in terms of 'correcting' the GOP.
