So 'returning' to previous values is liberal? Returning to a more Christian based value system, less government control, and more power to the states is liberal. Well label me a lib then. Right next to Thomas Jefferson and a majority of the Founders of this nation. Pleased to meet you.

Pleased to meet you.

We will find common ground on the issues you mentioned in your last post.

You responded to a post I made to BA, who said, or inferrred that his vote was for sale and some republicans were not going to get it because the were not conservative in his eyes. I only pointed out the definitions of conservatism that I am familiar with.

The liberal interpretations by the supreme court are responsible for much of the BS we endure today. Now, with the loss of the Senate we are facing the possibility of a even more and solidly socialist court!

The Senate is key to the problem and the majority must be sufficient to get cloture!(60 votes)

A socially liberal republican who is fiscally conservative is not likely to stand in the way of a conservative court, since they run left to get elected and then move center.

To not vote for the republican on ideological grounds is to elect or make it more likely that the socialist will be elected. Even if the democrat pretends to be conservative they will vote the party line on most issues.
