There are a few articles about news from late last night, most notably, the President's Secret Service agents have joined the hunt for the sniper and a Tarot Card from the sniper was found at the same scene as the bullet casing from the school shooting.

Yesterday, I was leaning towards a middle-east link to the perp(s). Today, it just seems like another childish domestic political cry to punish everyone as a result of un-involved parents.

I couldn't help but notice the rough pattern on the map someone posted. It reminded me of a crescent with a star placed where we are accustomed to seeing it. Then there is that one shooting where it doesn't necessarily fit the rest of the pattern unless it is a star.
Is it remotely possible that the perp could be imitating the midwest pipebomber?
Whatever is going on, I don't have any particular theory one way or the other.

Wow...I checked out ABCNews.com and here is a quote from an article regarding the tarot card and what it could mean in the MD shooting case:
"Conservative Calling Card?
Hartman says some conservative Christians sometimes attack tarot as being evil, but says most often the cards can be positive. "The idea is that it's a teaching tool to help an individual become aware of energies that they're working with in their own life to improve themselves," she said. "It's really for personal enlightenment." Nevertheless, her contention that "born-again, Christian-type people" often see evil in the decks might offer police profilers hints about who left the death card, she said."

At first I thought it was a terrorist cell. Then a couple of things occurred to me: Sniping isn't exactly arab/muslim style, if you get my drift.
NOT TO STEREOTYPE OR ANYTHING, but it seems that arabs/muslims generally like for stuff to blow up real big and have lots of wounded victims for psychological effect, especially women and kids.
Also, consider this: Tim McVeigh and Terry Nichols took an afternoon off from whatever their day jobs were, stirred up some fertilizer and diesel fuel from some plans they got off the internet and blew up a whole federal building, right?
If it's that damn easy, why wouldn't terrorists do that instead of going to all the trouble of shooting individual people and taking the risk of getting caught at it? (/end sarcasm)

WMAL in Washington, DC is reporting someone has been shot in the head at a Sunoco station in Manassas, Virginia. Reporter says it's too early to know whether or not the recent shooting is related to the others.
