My previous post had the WRONG url for the second video link.
It is FIXED now, from http://www.amazing.com/politics/freeping/2002-10-05/:
Century City Freep - 5 October 2002

View the Video:

This video runs 7 minutes and 20 seconds, so it's very long. The "small" version is about 15mb and the "big" one is 27mb. The big version plays significantly better due to much higher quality handling of transitions between scenes, but both are the same size and length.

All video requires QuickTime Player to view; available for Macintosh or Windows.

Funny, reading this and watching "Band of Brothers" on HBO. No real comparison, but I do feel as if we have combat experience, at least in a sense. :)

Good job! I was cheering and laughing along with you! You guys in Southern Cal Rock! Not shy at all! I especially liked the ripping up of the Davis campaign sign and throwing it down upon the liberals heads!

The Hollywood Resistance Force, under the able command of our fearless leader RonDog, assembled in front of the Kodak Theater in Hollywood to bring our valiant resistance efforts into the belly of the beast. We truly showed that we had no fear!

Nah. They all thought that you were Matt Drudge, and figured that you had YOUR OWN website - on which to promote yourself. :o)

Great job!!!

We have our hands full here (Arizona) with El Napo and a band of RINOs that came out for her. I scolded one yesterday (he's a CEO at the hospital where I work; it was a Voter's Day Ice Cream social at the hospital). He was shocked that I had the nerve to confront him.

To: ElkGroveDan; daviddennis; Outraged; AnnaZ; feinswinesuksass; Mercuria; SixString; HangFire; ...
Way to go David.
I haven't watched the whole video yet, but you guys did a great job out there.
RonDog and the rest of you deserve a lot of credit for the great showing...
Among the HUGE (and GROWING!) honor roll are:
daviddennis (videographer extraordinaire),
Outraged (as Superman),
Steve, the lurker (whose DAY job requires that he lurk here more than POST),
the college Republicans (who will alll SOON register to post here),
AnnaZ, feineswinesuksass, MERCURIA, SixString, HangFire, LadyJenn, DoughtyOne, Bob J, diotima, gc4nra, and doug from upland - (from the ORIGINAL Hollywood Resistance Force)
Cinnamon Girl, Tony in Hawaii, buffyt, Jessamine, TheSpottedOwl, Marilyn (not yet registered to post here), gubamyster, Irishgirl, WayneShrugged, absalom01, Floratina, Moonmad27, Aunt Polgara, firemanswife, the "bicycle guy" in Hollywood (who may register to post here SOMEDAY) - (as the NEW ADDITIONS to our H.R.F.)
seenenuf, WillaJohns, BADJOE, Auntie Mame, dalereed - (from Orange County)

plus MANY more who have helped BEHIND the scenes, like Howie (who created those MARVELOUS Styrofoam cutouts), Carry_Okie (with the BIG "Dump Davis" stickers), Mediaqueen (who lives up to her screen name!), Jim Robinson (naturally!) and hole_n_one, bonesmccoy, Ernest_at_the_Beach, NormsRevenge, Coop, Gophack, runningbear, MeeknMing - (who BUMP and add color commentary to our "Dump DAVIS!" threads like CRAZY)

But perhaps MOST OF ALL to ElkGroveDan whose creative genius inspired virtually ALL of this, and Bill Simon, (the NEXT Governor of California!)

I am really, REALLY sorry for those of you that I missed thanking here, as I am CERTAIN that I did.
Thank YOU, too!
WE WILL "Dump DAVIS!"
(Click on the thumbnails for a LARGER image.)

FReeper Outraged as Superman
("The S is for SIMON!")

one of the MANY - as yet unnamed -
college Republicans/FUTURE FReepers
with his sign that made the AP story

MORE young Republican "future FReepers" -
since are not (yet) registered to post on this forum
- with some VERY creative signs

not the best PICTURE of them - but certainly
some the most PASSIONATE members of
FR's Hollywood Resistance Force:
AnnaZ, HangFire, feinswinesuksass, LadyJenn

here is the man who LED THE CHARGE -
MANY TIMES (against my "legal" advice) -
into the "belly of the beast" - and wihout any doubt was
the HEART and SOUL of this FReep!

another HERO of this FReep, daviddennis -
master videographer for the GOOD guys -
with the slimy evidence of an attack on his car. :o)

Did you get my La Opinion translation?
Si. Gracias! :o)

From La Opinion (via AnnaZ):

The La Opinion coverage is almost exactly the same as the Slimes':

*****Entre el medio millar de ruidosos simpatizantes de los tres candidatos a la gubernatura, un hombre disfrazado de Superman mostró su adhesión a Bill Simon; otro, vestido de prostituta y usando una máscara de Davis, sostenía una pancarta con el mensaje: "Trabajaré por sobornos".

Un tercer personaje, vestido de gallina, acusó al actual gobernador de comportarse como tal por no aceptar más debates antes del 5 de noviembre. *****

Among the half a thousand noisy supporters of the three gubernatorial candidates a man dressed as Superman displayed his support for Simon; another, dressed as a prostitute and wearing a Davis mask, carried a sign that read: "Will work for bribes".

A third person, dressed as a chicken, accused the Governor of being one for not accepting any more debates before the 5th of November.
