Pravda sure is busy these days. Did they get bought out by Debka?

My guess: Ted Turner

There is an Assembly staffer I know who will also be checking this out. I hope he can identify and photograph the camera angle. I sent him the shots this evening.

I wouldn't put it past Bert. Anything's possible in the magical, digital age.

Simon acknowledged that his campaign, which gave COPS $100,000 to appear on its slate mailer, had not sought to verify the authenticity of the photographs. Hey, does anyone know what's up with this $100,000 payment from Simon to COPS? Seems strange. DTH

interestingly enough this morning a short news conference with the President and the lights set on the President while behind the podium was the same lighting..as used in the photo that seems to look like they are placed in front of a background..noticed it right off.

COPS (which endorsed Grayout in the past, but had an internal falling out with the guy in the photo Angeles, he later getting a plum appointment by Grayout) is one of those outfits that does voter mail with endorsements where the candidate pays to be on it. They went with Simon this year. Personally, I think they're a racket (along with other similar groups)....

The latest I saw in this morning's fishwrap was that the Clymeriated Presstitutes did an "inspection" and could not find matching carpet and artwork. Makes me think it is for real. I'll look for the article and flag you if I find it. In any event, it is a great photo after all the press that Grayout got on his money grubbing....

IMHO, it is not as important WHERE Davis takes the money, but WHY...
Even if he did not break the "not in your office" law, he is STILL a politician "For Sale!"

Yes, Roger said that Hutchison/Whampoa (sp?) quietly took over and now there are thousands of illegal Chinese aliens coming into South America. Guess where they will end up?

The fact is, Davis and South refuse to say WHERE the photograph was taken. They could end this whole thing by giving an address and showing reporters. If they release the location now, they could have set it up to LOOK like the location, when in fact this WAS taken in a state office.

People who know Davis know he is for sale. Everyone who knows Davis believes this photo is for real. And South will do everything to cover it up.

So Simon paid $100,000 for being placed on a mailer? I wonder how many pieces of mail actually went out, and how much of that $100,000 went into the pockets of COPS and its leaders?

I think you're right about COPS being a racket. And if the recent fact-checking (or lack thereof) by COPS says anything about the quality of their organization, I'd say they're a pretty lousy racket, at that.
