For some reason, I was thinking all of them were in the morning.. and i've looked at the below graphic numerous times. So if they were going west..do you have an idea as to why they would choose that? Just because of route 66 or is there a method to their madness?

I wonder if the police are assuming that the shooter(s) are getting new transportation every day? Have they found abandoned vehicles?

First, a correction. I said the VA shooting was at 2:15pm but it was at 2:30pm.

As far as them going West, I guessed West because they appear to be interested in the area around DC. The cluster shootings are North, the VA shooting was South, the Bowie shooting was slightly East. That leaves West. Also, they like to operate off of Interstates. Route 66 offers that opportunity as well as an area that has yet to be affected directly so may be slightly less vigilant or prepared.

One more thing. I have not been one who has had any strong feelings about the "Michaels" connection but I will point out that there are three "Michaels" stores right off Route 66 going West. They are in Fairfax, near Centerville and in Manassas.

Click here to see a map from the Michaels website. The stores I mentioned are numbers 3, 1 and 6, respectively.
