I go to an outdoor range that's near a busy road. From the road, at a distance of 200 yards, with intervening trees, the shooting is not particularly noticible over the regular traffic noise.

Home made sliencer is easy to fashion...he is shooting from a park into areas that have traffic...he is NOT in the country...he is using URBAN NOISE as an advantage...I live in a major city...URBAN noise adds to the chaos.

He is a sniper, he is a murderer...he is NOT shooting people with an audience...a cemetary for example in the morning will have little or NO traffic...the other parks would be rather vacant in the morning on WORK DAYS, he is using his head...he is by no means an idiot...

JUST because he may be crazy doesn't mean he has to be a moron...
