The folks here who say firing a kill shot from 320 yards is no big deal, I think are being a little uncharitable. Sure, under range conditions, a person with good training can pull that shot off no problem.

The person who took this shot though, has been running from the police since Wednesday night, when they started this spree. The only alleged miss so far has been the first shot fired through a Michael's window.

This person shot 7 people in a row, from long range, with just one bullet each, killing 6. Took the week-end off, while remaining unfound, then picked a spot, and calmly cranked 1 round from 2 1/3 blocks away, nailed his target, and got away.

A few weeks at the range does not give you this ability. This has been plotted out, and it is a stone killer. Not one bit of nerves, bringing out a yippy shot. Could be a car near the woods, a bird flying by, the fear of being shot by a LE type to distract this shooter... a sudden gust of wind, a pang of conscience, anything.

I will bet anybody, that this person has a very interesting background.

It's not as hard as you state. Hitting at 200 yards with open sites is doable for most practiced shooters. I didn't say they were gun shop bubbas doing the shooting. I also don't think they bought a traceable gun at the local gunshop.

Consider this ...
Most urban settings are less than 100 yards of open terrain. Go to the local shopping mall and check. You will see getting a clear shot at 320 yards is not likely at all. Did the cops manage to read the bullet fragments for the yardage scale? Give me a break.

It is no big deal to shoot like the sniper is doing. Trained and saw being trained enough people to know it's not. We trained on 600 yard ranges with open sights and scopes. With a scope it is much easier. Go to a silhouette target range and check it out. One of my fun activities when younger. Set up a shooting bench in the back of a van, easy to do. Add a silencer no noise.

As an aside ...
I might suggest that a hunter with a rifle stalking a deer --- if they can't hit to kill at 200-300 yards might want to stay home. The deer deserve better.

Ever consider what terrorist training camps are for? boy scout outings?

All I am saying is why avoid the obvious. There is a war going on, or am I missing something here. And they are Arab/Islam terrorist doing the terror deeds are they not? And they do intend to terrorize, don't they?

As I stated in a prior note __THESE ARE PROs__ and are well trained. Most sniper teams are pairs, one spotter one shooter. Maybe even three, one for covering the backdoor. To think that the driver is not the spotter for the shooter in the back of the van/truck misses the whole point.

Park, take the shot, drive away. If discovered get free virgins early.

There were five hijackers for each plane, a pilot and four for muscle.

So a trained sniper team is unlikely? Hello, are you not paying attention to what is going on in the world?

I hope the cops get them soon, but don't hold your breath. Unless some citizens stumbles upon the setup and reconizes what is going on, I think it is unlikely they will get caught. They might be on a plane back to the training camps right now.

My intent is simple, help people recognize what might be going on, look for the likely scenario, that's all.

But other motives are welcome. They just don't fit today's reality. Suggest the pursuit of the likely scenario first, and be surprised if it isn't.
