I was watching a movie on TV, and a thought popped into my head, a flash type thing, this is a hired person. He/she lives in Washington, D.C. I don't think the motive is to just kill. I think it's for another reason. I think it's to get anti-gun back in the forefront. No one started screaming about guns the first day. If a kid were hit, they would automatically scream for gun control, or so they thought.
After 9/11, the gun issue became null and void. Many ran to buy guns, and the anti-gun folks have been pushed way behind. I'd assume the cash flow comming to them has almost dried up.
The left, or extreme left, needs to get this back in the news. A Socialist society cannot be controled while the people are armed.

Your theory is as good as any. I do find it interesting that these killings are taking place near the nation's capitol.
