Why aren't they releasing any information about the victim? His name, his aunt's name, anything but his age?

Why aren't they releasing any information about the victim? His name, his aunt's name, anything but his age? I'm thinking at this point its to protect the privacy of the family.

To protect both individuals, the authorities have not released the names of other of the two people (this boy and a woman late last week) who survived. However, information coming out of the authorities has been very sketchy, perhaps because they have little to go on in this case.
