FOX Broadcast (not cable) to carry Bush speech per FOX's Atlanta affiliate
Posted on 10/07/2002 1:39:20 PM PDT by erk
The following is the email I received from the Assistant News Operations Manager:
According to the latest from the FOX network, we will be broadcasting President Bush's speech before the NLDS game.
The President is expected to speak for 20 minutes, so there should be no conflict between his remarks and the game.
Thank you for your interest in FOX5 Atlanta.

This in FOX Broadcast, not FOX News. In other words, Homer Simpson, not Hannity and Colmes.

On the FoxNews website they say they are having live coverage and then O'Reilly will do the analysis... Nothing from CBS, ABC or NBC....

Sean Hannity has said that they will be carrying the speech. That his show will be pushed back to cover it.

thanks for the local Atlanta heads up. I've already written a thank you to one of their producers.

That's great (and expected) that FOX News is carrying it. But it is even better that FOX Broadcast is also going to carry it because everyone tuning in for the baseball game will see it also.

All our local affiliates in the Tampa Bay area will be carrying the speech.
I personally called ABC, CBS and NBC local stations around 3 o'clock and all three said they were carrying it.

KABC WILL cover it, here in LA. She didn't even let me finish my sentence b/4 answering. I was MOST POLITE and thanked her.
FOX 11, in LA will NOT air it, due to a ball game. She was NOT nice. I said, WOW, a ball game over the President.
Wow.

For weeks the liberal media has been telling Bush that he must tell the American people what his plans are and what proof he has. Now he wants to do just that and they won't televise it.
If it was Clinton giving the speech they would clear the channels for him! No one here can know how I despise the media!

I just mailed an email to all the stations - claiming they are playing politics, snubbing the President and deciding what the American people should see.
They determine that Drew Carey, Queen of Hearts and a baseball game preempt hearing from the President of the U.S. concerning his views and actions on Iraq.
