I think that we can all guess what we might do in this situation if we were the mother, and we can debate what is right and what is foolish, but I have to say nobody here or anywhere loves that child more than his mother or father and I for one think the debate is for thinking about what we would do in this case. But to criticize this mother, to say she might have contributed to her child's death if he died, is beneath contempt. We do have to think what we would do knowing that seeing a beloved child bleeding in front of you after being shot might propel you into action even when in hindsight you might torture yourself with your action and its ramifications. I know she must be in hell now and how terrible is that?

I absolutely think the mother did the right thing. She did exactly what I would do. I commend her for clear thinking in a crisis, taking her child immediately to a very close medical facility.
