I believe the same bullet (projectile) could be fired from different size rifles. The brass would ID the rifle type.

I'm not concerned that I'm going to be shot by this killer. I live in Texas so I don't think he can shoot that far. This is another post where I'm explaining that I am not worried about terrorism. I carry and own a pistol so I can defend myself against ordinary street crime.
If I was in an area where a killer was shooting innocents, the knowledge that I have gained from my regular shooting will help in telling where the shot came from and I might be able to provide enough information to the authorities.
I'm not a hero or a superman. I carry because it might help myself or others. I advise others to do the same.

Morning folks...I'm late getting up to speed on this latest shooting. From what I have heard, or rather what I haven't heard. No news on whether related to others last week. No word on calibur of bullet. My prayers for this child and his family. With out reading through over 1000 posts. Does anyone else but me feel this is out of the terrorists playbook? Thanks.

I know, I've been reading about the OKC connection here and on Newsmax for sometime. I told my husband about it quite a while ago and he just kind of looked at me. Guess you could say I'm the tinfoil hat wearer in the family. Hubby is not and it makes for very interesting conversations. My gut feeling: I think he's a domestic nutjob. The perp (singular) is going to start getting closer and more brazen, because the thrill of distance shooting is beginning to wear off. He'll get spotted and followed/caught within a couple of days.

Several people on this thread, including me, think this is possibly terrorism from Islamic extremists, although it's all just speculation at this point. Just finished reading Steven Emerson's excellent book called American Jihad, which is fact filled and highly recommended. He detailed several other cases of Islamic extremist terrorism in NYC that we/I had not heard about before, including individual shootings in NYC of Israelis.

There seems to be a consensus on the thread that it is terrorist related, although pretty much anytime something like this happens, people on these threads think it's terror related.

Frankly, if it is terrorism, it isn't very effective.
