Can things get any worse for the Democrats in this election year? They are divided over going to war against Iraq at a time when polls show most Americans want to get rid of this evil man who is harboring terrorists and building weapons of mass destruction.

With God, all things are possible.

I hope this article is not all wishful thinking. But, to tell the truth, I have pretty much given up on the American voter.

I wonder at times. if people who will elect mcdermitts to office, are worthy of or elligible for keeping their freedom.
I further wonder if people who let traitors rule, and refuse to remove them from office, are a whole lot better.
Can such people preserve and protect their freedoms? is the question on my mind. and I honestly don't like the answer. Conservatism and President Bush aside, I often fear we are WAY past the point of no return.
The near "riots" today by violent and angry antiwar protestors. speaks volumes to me, that I just don't want to hear.

eligible.

"

I have all but given up on the Washington voter as well. No matter what, the democRAT gets over 50% of the vote for just being on the ticket.
Lambro would be making perfect sense IF the voting public weren't so unencumbered by the thought process.

But, to tell the truth, I have pretty much given up on the American voter.Me too. 1/3 of the warm bodies walking around here are ilegals or illiterate. Another 1/3 of our population don't shive a git about our great country. Therefore, I figure I'll live out my 30 year retirement on Lake James before this country really shoves its nose into the toilet. I've spent thousands of hours on the phones and emails with governors, senators and congressmen. Most of these people are dumber than a stump (Al Gore comes to mind here). Cheers to the MTV generation when the Isalmics burn down your homes, blow up buildings and all of the rest that the MTX generation does not understand, except a McDonalds hamburger. duhh

Ask yourself this...How many people do you know or work with that you can sit down and have an intelligent conversation about politics, economics,, world affairs etc...?
For me...maybe 4...on a good day...but then again maybe it is just where i live...i don't know.
To: patriciaruth
yes and HE is about all we have right now... the masses are forgetting 9-11... after all we might actually have to take out the trash... (islamikazism) in the middle east to preserve our freedoms.
We need not one miracle but a whole slew of them...
To: chasio649
You're absolutely right. Of my circle of acquaintances, there are a half dozen who keep up with politics and world current events. You would not believe how many people actually call me on election day and ask me who they should vote for.
To: looney tune
Ha Ha...the same has happened to me...most guys i know are too busy worshipping athletes to bother with keeping informed about what is going on in the world. Women...well in my opinion, most are just too darn emotional to have logic and reason anyway ;)

You would not believe how many people actually call me on election day and ask me who they should vote for. And you tell them "Republican" and offer to drive them to the polls and show them how that machine works. Right?

This isn't Florida, so I never thought I had to show them how to work the machines. However, this is New Jersey, so I make sure they don't ask anyone else who to vote for, since I am one of the few Republicans in this sleezy state.
To: kattracks
Well, I'm relieved to report that in my new Florida District 24, Republican Tom Feeney is leading Democrat Harry Jacobs 51% to 32%, with 17% undecided. There's been negative ads on both sides and I wondered which ones were working.

. Of my circle of acquaintances, there are a half dozen who keep up with politics and world current events.Sad, but true. I live in what was a conservative state. Clintoon never got our electoral votes. A 50+ white veteran I work with votes because it's what he was taught he was supposed to do, yet after the last election, he had no clue which party the candidate he voted for was affiliated with much less any issues involved. While discussing the DC/MD/VA shootings last Fri. and terrorism, I mentioned the Iranian hostage crisis. This person asked me to refresh his memory as he couldn't remember what it was about or when it occured. This is a person, like I believe are still in the majority, who would do the right thing in the voting booth but have no interest in finding out what that is. How many average Joes out there do you think know of Bubba's pardon orgy at the end of his presidency?
The GOP bears the brunt of the the blame for this as weenies like Trent Lott and others make no noise at all about it. If our so called leaders were to accuse and confront the DimRATs with their misdeeds in public before the press, it would force the RATs to respond and thereby force the press to cover it. Our side listens to Rush, Borsch, Hannity, etc. but they are really only preaching to the choir.

Bump for Lambro, Washington Times, optimism, truth and freedom. Engage the enemy...incarcerate the criminal...even in the war of words...educate the uneducated. There is a lot of work to be done. We will not waver, we will not falter, we will not fail.

I'm not so sure (yet) that it's the American voter. The biggest problem is vote fraud committed by Democrats.
The Florida fiasco was intentionally caused to cover up the fraud, not due to stupid voters, IMHO.
