here's the Alpine Scenic Loop above American Fork Utah, about 20 miles southeast of me.

this is the area they showed in the background in the jeramiah johnson movie (mount timpanogos - top left), and is probably looking about like this after the snow last week.

Wow, now those are mountains..and quite a bit bigger than our White Mountains. ;) Beautiful color too. I may take a ride out later and get some pics. Of course there seems to be no viable place to hold them at the moment. Even Yahoo seems to be acting up..

Before a pic trip, we have to cut a lot of flowers down and clean some gardens. Make hay while the sun shines. The falling leaves will be dropping on us soon... I have a very old Mulberry tree that can dump everything in one day, and one time after a frost, in one hour. It was a sight to see, like a yellow snow storm..
