NDE's are fascinating, aren't they? The article says that ketamine is generally regarded as safe, and it talks about experiments (with varying levels of controls, LOL). I've never been into drugs, and the idea of inducing a near-death experience is just too freaky for me!

One curious application is in transplants. If one of our brains was transplanted into the other, then who will wake up – you or me?

I like your idea of not offering to be a test subject for ketamine. I recall reading that you have a daughter, so I imagine she wouldn’t want you at risk --- however remote the risk or fascinating the endeavor.
