I address this separately. Why is evolution not vague and useful when it does not address the origin of life? IOW why does the designer have to be known when the only question is "Is it designed?". I have no idea who designed an unmarked arrow point, but I'm cocksure it was designed.
Sure you are. And with good reason. Arrowheads are identifiable as man-made, because we have direct experience with man-made objects. You may not know who made it, but you are highly confident you know what made it. Arrowheads chipped out of flint have distinguishing characteristics that we can use to identify them as man-made among a littering of random rocks. Shape, size, material, markings left by the shaping process, and so forth are all consistent among arrowheads in a particular region.
What designed the individual species? What was the method used to create them? Are there any characteristics to differentiate an object created by this designer from objects not designed?
