Suing employers who hire illegal immigrants
San Francisco Chronicle ^ | oct. 4 2002 | Dan Stein

It has been evident for quite some time that the political system will not enforce immigration laws. In spite of overwhelming evidence that rampant illegal immigration is an enormous financial burden to taxpayers, a strain on public services and a threat to national security, the pressure from ethnic blocs and cheap labor interests to maintain a de facto open border prevails.

Agree with Dan Stein. If it hurts businesses in their bottom line for hiring illegal aliens, all American workers will ultimately benefit. Bring on a wave of RICO lawsuits and sue the bastards into extinction.

Several years ago I worked at a manufacturing plant that had mostly whites, with a few blacks and asians tossed in.
I stopped by about a month ago and all the workers were mexican. The shop management had all the experience, the workers just did the work. I now work for a large international corp and they have a manufacturing facility on grounds. I see the very same scenario being played out. All the experience is in management, and all the workers are minorities. We've had meetings where it was blatenly accepted that the vast majority of our problems is precisely what this topic is about. Of course, no one wants to admit that as a policy, but everyone knows it. It's a freakin' farce. If this company didn't charge such exorbitant prices for their product, they would be out of business in a heartbeat.

These rulings give the workers a means to penalize the companies that are involved but does nothing to pay back the taxpayers and public for the increased expenses, health care, education, etc. Also the deterioration of neighborhoods by impoverished workers and the resulting decline of living standards.

It is still the Federal government that bears the responsibility of allowing the situation to get so far out of hand. We can't spend to control our borders but we can go world-wide to extend our authority over other borders. As the word goes out around the world, expect some serious terror attacks across our borders.

by simply blaming the gummint, you blame by extension, me the taxpayer. The gummint should enforce the laws that already exist. They call them illegals for a reason. The companies that do this crap need their @$$es kicked.
I can tell you that perks and raises were a given until they got the bright idea to lay off Americans and replace them with illegals. Hell, the illegals bragged about not paying taxes. They were paid contract labor. They were allowed to go back to Mexico for 2 to 3 months and still have their job when they got back. The rest of us got the 3rd degree if we wanted an entire week off. I know a guy there that worked for years and each year he took 2 weeks to go Elk hunting. When they started this baloney he was told he would be fired if he took off the two weeks. He went, and he got fired. I happen to know that the owner actually paid one of them to go back to his home town and bring back more. Almost all were from the same village.
How "American" is that? This bullcrap about them doing the jobs we won't is a load of crock.

The INS. Look it up in the blue pages or go online and find a center near you. Keep in mind that each is like a little political kingdom. Ask around before you file with a local agency that may ignore everything. You have a right to file at any center in your state, not just the closest one.
You can call in too.

Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals -- the same court that declared the Pledge of Allegiance unconstitutional -- ruled that workers who lost jobs or wages because employers knowingly hired illegal immigrants could sue those employers under the RICO

Not exactly correct, although Mr. Stein is close. The court ruled that workers could sue under RICO only if they could prove that the employers hired illegal immigrants with the express purpose of attempting to oppress the wages of the "legal" workers.
