About 30 protesters carried signs that stated "Davis: A Name You Can Buy," and "Blackout Davis," as they marched across the street from the hotel. Democrats who attended the rally saw them only as they entered the hotel.

"Democrats who attended the rally saw them only as they entered the hotel."

What a bizarre comment in a news article. I've got news for that reporter, they may only have seen us as they entered the hotel, but they HEARD us LOUD and CLEAR when we went underground and chanted DUMP DAVIS, DUMP DAVIS, DUMP DAVIS. We were in a kind of tunnel right outside their rally and the tunnelling effect had to have carried our voices as if we each were manning individual bullhorns.

You're right Auntie Mame, why was this "pay no attention to the man behind the curtain" disclaimer necessary? Would anyone care to do research on how many AP and LA Times articles started out with, headlined, or had photos of the PROTESTERS, instead of the CONTENT of a Bill Simon appearance? Once you find out, Freep Mail me, and I'll send you the phone numbers to complain to...
