Before he came to Montgomery County, Moose was police chief in Portland, Oregon. He was the choice of Portland Mayor Vera Katz. That's right, the same Mayor Katz who refused to cooperate with Ashcroft after 9/11 and in whose office Patrice Lumumba Ford (arrested yesterday as a member of the Portland al Qaeda cell) interned.
