wild turkey is good. Pheasant is ok too. Squirrel and ground hog don't sound that appetizing. I'm sure the SpecOps guys are laughing at me. :)

The SpecOps guys will pass me a few ants and get me a garnish of tree fungus!

Squirrel is o.k. in Brunswick Stew. About 1/3 squirrel, 1/3 rabbit, and 1/3 chicken. Otherwise I can't stand the stuff. It's hard to clean too . . . gotta make sure you get out the little scent glands at the leg joints or it will taste pretty foul.

Give me a nice whitetail deer any day of the week.

Well tree rat is not bad (ask my dog!, but I've had it too) Bunny isn't too bad either, but as I said, I prefer pheasant, quail and such. Never had, that I recall, wild turkey, duck or goose, but I imagine, depending on what they've been eating, that they are pretty good. Bison is good, but I'd hate to have to clean and haul one of those myself. The Indians had a whole party to help with that, as well killing the thing in the first place. (I think they made the women do the worst of it, fat chance on getting Mrs. Gato, PhD, to do that!, although she would cook it, since she likes it too.)

The Spec ops, or even AF Survival Instructor types, would feed you the eyeballs. good source of salt I'm told.
