The ones who are trainable to a really high level of ability tend to have qualms.
The ones who don't have qualms tend to lack the patience needed to be teachable.
The point I'm making is that the combination of skill and non-squeamishness are not very common outside the military, which makes this guy a non-garden-variety individual...and probably NOT a whackjob.
