OLDIE BUT GOODIE and we will need articles like this in the upcoming elections if DUMBO decides to run again, although the Boston Globe has stated today that Gore is not wanted as a candidate in 2004, since he CAN be beaten in the primary! I sent copy of this today to two people who were telling me how dumb Bush is..... They didn't argue anymore!

I am still amazed the mainstream press can maintain that they are unbiased after the way they handled this issue of how smart Gore was vs. how dumb bush was + how they handled the drug use issue. There was all kinds of evidence of prolonged, heavy pot smoking by Gore which was completely ignored while the press went wild over phantom stories of Bush's cocaine use.

I've never met a single Liberal who was in any way interested in, or persuaded by something as pedestrian as facts.

Al Gore failed in
1. Divinity School
2. Law School
3. The Electoral College
Time for him to drop out entirely.
I forget who I stole this from, but I'm sure it was a Freeper.

People who don't seem think Bush is too stupid anymore:
Ann Richards, The Texas Dems., many Texas Reps., the Texas media, The National Media, all his opponents in the presidential primary including John McCain, Al Gore, Joe Lieberman, the DNC, Dan Rather and his ilk, The Clinton machine including James Carville, all sorts of people in Florida including the Florida Supreme Court, the European media and numerous European Leaders, Putin, Tony Blair, The Taliban, many in Congress including Tom Daschle and Richard Gephardt, The United Nations and the list continues. Who did I miss?
This list could also be called "people that took Bush on and lost".

The woman who wrote this, JENNIFER C. BRACERAS, is obviously (take your pick)
A self-loathing...
a) Jew
b) Hispanic
c) Person of color
d) Fill in the blank
Get back in line Ms. Braceras.

During the 1950s, the media lionized Democrat Adlai Stevenson as an intellectual, while ridiculing Republican Dwight Eisenhower....Yes, and the press in complicity with "higher" (?) education smeared Goldwater as a "War Monger" and Johnson as a "Peace Candidate". One of the great awakenings that occurs with political awareness is the realization that this sort of "Bias" and "Slander" has always been going on, by the same sort of people, for the same kind of reasons.
Great post. A keeper.

Great reminder. Does Gore have any kind of Post-grad degree?

"Who did I miss? "Prime Minister Cretien, Kofi Anan...

Get back in line Ms. Braceras. What's your beef with Braceras?
To: buffyt
Stevenson, the so-called "thinking man's candidate," had, in fact, flunked out of Harvard Law.
Holy Cow! I hadn't heard this one before.

Let's cut to the closing.
>>>This election is not an I.Q. test; it is about which candidate has better judgment. And that is why, despite the media's love affair with the celluloid image of Al Gore the policy-wonk, it is the affable, authentic, and sensible Bush who would make the better leader.
Almost two years later, GWBush is leader of the greatest nation ever and runs seven minute miles, daily. Algore can't get his wedding ring on. Gore's gotten as fat as a walrus and is giving FatTeddyK a run for his money in the obese department. Hahahahahahaha
Go Bush Go

Apparently, Bush's SAT's are higher than Gore's. Gore is glib, and people erroneously think that those who are glib and fast-talking are more intelligent. It's not necessarily so.

Believe me, I know someone who is a friend of Ann Richards and she doesn't think Bush is stupid -- far from it.

One need not go further than Eisenhower and Stevenson to see the importance of this article. What Harvard lawyer comes to mind who could rival the accomplishments of the modest General from Kansas. Half the people in the world had benefitted from his military service long before he served eight years as President. Add to the fact that Stevenson only tried to be a Harvard Lawyer and we see the duplicity of the american media. I can see the hole in the sole of Stevenson's shoe prominently shown in Life Magazine, as if that really mattered. Eisenhower commanded hundreds of thousands, maybe millions, of troops in WWII who wore holes in their shoes, and more often than not, in their bodies.
I will bookmark this article and use it in all of the political races left in my lifetime. I hope every Freeper will do the same. I have already stopped referring to the media as liberal. I really believe it is self defeating. To constantly point out what is so obvious only feeds our own ego, and perhaps, the image that we are not too bright. Like President Bush, President Eisenhower, President Truman, and a double handful of other successful world leaders who were never journalists.

The elite strike force of an army of democrat lawyers and media experts who were sent to Florida to steal an election were completely outwitted by "dumb" Dubya.

Two pages later, readers will be shocked - shocked! - to learn that the magazine's (no doubt scientific) study of the candidates' facial gestures reveals that Gore is the "more serious, constrained, controlled, weighty, ponderous, [and] dominant of the two candidates." More ponderous, perhaps . . . but, please, spare me the pop psychology. Based on recent reports, Gore is 'more weighty' too.
