Those are the ones that made the decisions that have caused the very hot devestating fires that we see today.

The fires down in Arizona burned forest that was going to be thinned last year but a law suit brought by an environmental group stopped the logging. The fire was actually set by an evironmentalist. I know what I am talking about. Fire supression has been going on for 100 years but it has been the decrease in logging brought on by enviromental law suits that have allowed these hot fires to burn this year.

Come on. The fact that we have trees is the cause of fires yes. And if you want to blame environmentalist for having trees I dissagree with you.

I don't know about the specific example in AZ. Maybe they "thining" was planning on taking the biggest trees ? That would be counterproductive. Maybe that particulare environmental group was wrong ? maybe that particulare environmental group was one lawyer trying to make a buck or a name for himself ?

The problem has been created by fire supression.
