As long as his questions are on a federal level, he's safe (well sort of).

Brilliant deduction. How are the Dems going to explain to the military voters that their vote just didn't count? Say, "just too bad, nannie nannie nanner?"

Don't they realize the military are the guys with the guns and grenades and they could come home and level New Jersey if they had a mind to??

I saw a press conference today (Fox News, several speakers, one of which was Bill Frist) which seemed to say that NJ was already in violation of federal election law aside from the Torricelli mess.

From what I heard, there is a date by which all absentee ballots must be mailed by to ensure the voter has an adequate amount of time to receive and return the ballot.

If NJ has already violated this law, I'd guess other states have too. Maybe the DOJ can turn this into a nationwide enforcement of federal law regarding absentee ballots.

It would be following the law (and working to solve an ongoing problem), it is supportive of our military, and it could be seen as less a partisan attack.
