As a police chief on the front line, quite frankly I'm one of them.
I have a suggestion. We need new chiefs of police. Smarter ones, preferably.

We need new chiefs of police. Smarter ones, prefe You prefer police chiefs who support seizing private property without due process?

I agree 100%, we need smarter Chiefs of Police in every city in America, just like the one who wrote the article. Drugs are a scourge upon humanity, but a worse scourge is the war on drugs which deter few users, or do anything to remove the desire to escape reality or maybe desires to experience reality more deeply. The war instead makes criminals of people who otherwise, despite their drug dependency could probably be fairly productive and tax-paying members of society. The war makes politically influential billionaires out of the lowest forms of human garbage on earth, and robs society of the taxes it would collect if the drugs were legal-not to mention the additional bonus of a like amount saved by befunding the war on drugs-defunding the prisons where we lock users away, and the income taxes they would pay on their productive jobs.
Is the truth really that difficult to digest- Or is feigned ignorance just so profitable for sonovabitches in positions of power, that they are willing to swap their souls for it?
