"---Then please explain why the United Nations has control of OUR education system?---
Senior U.N. official hails President Bush's announcement that U.S. will rejoin UNESCO"

Can you please explain in 100 words or less how this means that "the United Nations has control of our educational system"? Thank you.

Speaking to the UN General Assembly today, President Bush said, "As a symbol of our commitment to human dignity, the United States will return to UNESCO."

Immediately following the announcement, UNESCO Director-General Koïchiro Matsuura "warmly welcomed" the news and pledged his "full commitment" to reintegrating the United States into the agency's work

We are rejoined to UNESCO

President Ronald Reagan realized the dangers of UNESCO=(United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) and got us out. We are now back in this organization, therefore controlled by this organizations ideals and policies.

Washington to Rejoin UNESCO After Nearly 18 Years

The N.E.A. has been carrying on UNESCO's ideals, politics and policies, all along. So logically, we have always been controlled by the U.N.'s educational ideals. The U.S. Rejoining UNESCO; along with the NEA hold on our education system, has the United Nations front and center in the control driver seat.

WAY MORE THAN 100 words...

President Bush ) said on Thursday the United States would rejoin the United Nations educational, scientific and cultural arm nearly 18 years after pulling out.

The United States pulled out of UNESCO in December 1984, complaining of wasteful bureaucracy and a Third World bias.

Bottom line we were sold out.We compromised as a country, to brown nose Kofi Annan to LET US DEFEND ourselves in Iraq. This broke the fine line of politics and selling this nation out.

We should have never, ever, been put in the position to begin with to have to beg anyone.. NATO,the U.N., on our foreign policy and military offense or defense.
