Pre-emptive strikes are a fact of history, and it is prudent and wise strategy. Thank God the Israelis took out that Nuclear Reactor in Iraq in the early 80s. The Marxist encroachments in Cuba, Nicaragua, Angola, Panama were all legitimate strategic threats against the United States. Soviet and Chinese ambitions were real. Centuies ago, the world "community" (blech) came together, and we attacked the Barbary Pirates completely and endlessly, not for what they did, but for what they were planning to do in the future. This is like the pirate issue, this is an understanding that a guy who sits back less powerful than you yet arrogantly and ominously says "Whenever you turn away, whatever the time, wherever you are ... I'll sneak up behind you and cut your throat." You don't let that capability stand, you exterminate the future threat that moment. That's what being strong is all about. Security.
You don't seem to be able to discern good from bad. The United States is about freedom and democracy, not conquest and oppression.
At this point, I could care less about the "world". They're all f'd up.
