Ya know, Stavka, this isn't Russia - we don't believe in using people as Cannon Fodder, and we don't send line after line of men on foot up against tanks...
With today's technology, at least here in america, the 13:1 ratio is necessary - in order to put less people in harm's way, with more lethal tools and valuable intel, we NEED that 13:1 ratio...
Know what you are talking about before you spout off, will ya?

Oh please, porta potties are not a necessity for the average infantry man nor is half the other crap. Most of the guys on staff do nothing and staffs like all beaurocracies keep growing and growing. When there are soldiers whose only purpose in life is power point slides....that is rediculous. There is so much pork it is rediculous. And as far as cannon fodder...sorry but the Civil War, WW1 and WW2 proved that as BS, as did Korea. Remember Task Force Smith? What exactly were they but a speed bump? Guys with machine guns and grenades facing tanks. I, for one, DO KNOW what I'm talking about.
And don't even get me started on the Intel side. You get better info from CNN then from them and all their equipment.

Even during the height of the Cold War, it was only 11:1 not 13:1....and only getting worse.
