According to a FReeper on another thread who was listening to jay Severin, that's exactly what the plan is: get Lautenberg elected, then he'll resign and McSleazy will appoint the Torch to the seat that voters wanted to throw him out of. Voila, instant banana republic.

Well, I don't think the US Supremes will hear the case at this juncture. But I've got to think that the Supremes would hear the case, when McSleazely re-appoints the Torch to the Senate......
