Just win the Senate anyway. If Lautenberg wins, the GOP should refuse to seat him.

This makes a mockery of every election law ever passed by any legislature. That point needs to be mentioned in every newspaper in the country, by GOP leaders and from readers who write in.

I would hesitate getting the USSC involved prior to the election. That probably would be playing into the Dem hands.

Just beat Lautenberg, and then impeach the judges.

You expect the Dems in NJ to impeach those judges? They are STATE judges. So Feds have nothing to say about it. It would take impeachment actions brought by the citizens etc in New Jersey. I don't see that happening, do you?

I agree. The thing is, there was no reason for Torricelli to withdraw. All he had to do was say that if elected, he would immediately step down and allow the governor to appoint a known replacement. The Democrats deliberately sent this into the courts to create chaos, and are almost certainly hoping they can energize their base nationwide with inane accusations of SCOTUS trying to "steal" "another" election.
