I am posting this on all the NJ threads. Forgive me if you have already read this but I am truly disgusted and need to vent.
I am ashamed to be an attorney practicing "law" in NJ. What do I tell my clients in the following situations: They were caught doing 45 mph in a 25 mph school zone? What's the difference between 45 and 25. 25 is just an arbitrary number-don't worry about it. A crazed ex boyfriend who has a 150 foot restraining order placed against him gets in my client's face. That 150 feet is an arbitrary number. He can get away with it. My client hires a contractor and there is a liquidated damage provision whereby the contractor is penalized $ 500 a day for every day over 90 days that it takes him to complete the project. That 90 days is an arbitrary number and he can take his sweet ass time. THE LAW. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE RULE OF LAW. I am disgusted and ashamed. Oh well, I have to go now. I have to write a brief about the "law" in a particular case.

I'm walking up to every Dem I know and say, "I see you Dems are trying to steal another election?" This will tick them off, since they all believe Bush did the stealing. Idiots.

Didn't the Eleventh Circuit hold that changing the rules for counting absentee ballots in mid-election violated equal protection in Roe v. State of Alabama, 43 F.3d 574 (11th Cir. 1995), and that there was federal jurisdiction (the contested offices were state judgeships) because federal officers were elected at the same time?
To: Liz
UN-believeable.

Brit Hume said the same thing.
