LOL, thanks for thinking of us! It's 3:13 and Willy and I are checking the latest position now. ;-) I'm told it hardly ever even thunders in Alaska (but they do get 6' of snow).

3:00 AM report out of New Orleans (channel -8- Fox) said the storm is now moving north west instead of north-north west. They put it going in a little west of New Iberia.

Around 9:00am, radio is reporting potential landfall just west of New Iberia near Marsh Island. Tornados have been reported as well. As well as damage from them.

If you wait til they say "oops", your screwed and will end up stranded on the causeway bridge or some overpass sharing a personal moment with snakes, spiders and all sorts of other vermin

Good god....I had to take my mother to the airport last time this hurricane came a week ago and nearly got BLOWN off the bridge. I hope snakes dont find a way to get onto the causeway span! The horror!

There have been some very intense rain bands passing through and our lights have blinked several times. We are still here though, freepin' away. :-)

"3:00 AM report out of New Orleans (channel -8- Fox) said the storm is now moving north west?"

Unless this thing starts moving straight north pretty soon, it may go a lot west of New Iberia. NOT good...

yep..as I said several hundred posts ago..I think it will go west of New Iberia...maybe in the abbeville area or even west of there unless it goes 360 soon..this may be great because the area between Layfeyette abd lake charles is not that populated
