This is going to wind up in the US SC next week, based on the fact that the 17th amendment mandates how the election of Senators is conducted, and the "equal protection" prohibits states from denying any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

Absentee voters, including the military, are going to be screwed if the NJ SC arbitrarily waves a standing election law, and the US SC (probably by a 7-2 vote) will not let that stand.

And Republicans are evil because they won't let the Democrats change any law that bothers them.

And Republicans are evil because they won't let the Democrats change any law that bothers them.

They may try this nationwide to fire up their hardcore supporters, but it won't work. No one in Illinois gives a crap about a senate election in NJ. And, it might backfire and rile up GOP activists instead. As hutch has said, people understand the "bait and switch" line.
