It may be #1 but only highlights the fact that if it were gone tomorrow there would be a new #1. I assure you if FreeRepublic went off line for good, for whatever reason, there are hundreds if not thousands of people who would immediately put up a website. In fact, FreeConservatives might just be where everyone would gravitate to in the event that we lost FR. Don't get me wrong this is a great forum, but it's not unreplacable.

Don't get me wrong this is a great forum, but it's not unreplacable.

You must be historically challenged. FR has done great things in the past. It is my belief that it is doing even greater things now and the future of FR is what we make of it.

The greatest thing in my mind is the education that FR provides. Second is the organizational skill that members provide for activism and grass roots political battles. Third is the frienship and social functions that enhance the experience.

No other web site/forum/group does all these things nearly as well as FR does and I commend Jim and crew for their leadership and concern for the welfare of this site.

I for one would really be lost without it.
