I have difficulty understanding why it is a problem that politics cannot be a component in a major policical decision involving possible war with Iraq, but the most crucial internal decisions our legislators make - i.e., approving judicial nominations - can be politicized without repurcussion.
I'm just a naive old member of the VRWC. Can anyone help me to understand this?
The on-going meltdown of the non-political democrats is akin to watching marshmallows slowly toast as they turn, revealing the weakest spots in bubbles and blotches. The will-o-the-wisp Algore, the consummate chameleon of politics is finished early on. While the jaded Tom Daschle, tired and stale lingers for a bit. All in all it is a pleasurable scene to watch.
These servants of the people along with Bonior (sp) and McDermott have tried making policy to an enemy audience and they have failed miserably. They have in fact forsaken their oaths of office and their country for power, a large bubble and blotch the American People will not soon forget.
Who needs enemies when you have enemies of the people like this?
