This is great and a tribute to mhking is so well deserved. He's been here not quite 6 months and I don't know how we got along without him before. I and who knows how many others are on his ping list and it is so helpful. He always finds the most interesting articles that many of us might have missed.

While I support the Bush Administration on the war, I find a deep chasm between myself and the administration on the issue of immigration. We have no business opening up the borders of this country to illegal immigrants. If we do, the 'trickle' of people who hop the Rio Grande will turn into a torrent that we won't be able to stop.

Well said, and that is my big beef, too! I just deleted a long rant on some personal experiences with illegals, they're everywhere, but I'll save it for another thread because this is your day. :D

I'm sure I've forgotten someone (and I'm sorry to those whom I've neglected to include here), but thank you to all.

I've felt like a lone, solitary voice, wandering in the wilderness. My journey has at times been lonely, indeed.

Coming to FR felt like coming home to somewhere where I could kick my shoes off, grab a beer (and a plate!) and relax. I've found somewhere with stimulating conversation and more than a little fun. I've made a number of friends, and I'm glad to add you all to my extended family. Thank you for allowing me to share a bit of mine today, and I look forward to much more in the way of commiseration and fellowship with everyone!
