on a side note, I sometimes wonder if perhaps the party system should be banned and a form of term limits set in place. Perhaps this would cut down on the jackasses in office doing "whats good for the party" and start doing whats good for the people and rather than voting for whats going to keep them in office, they may use thier limited time to accomplish more of what is in the peoples interest rather than what will get them elected again.
I know thats not a foolproof solution but the one we have not is nothing but full of fools.
