There's some deep cognitive dissonance going on here, the same kind of love-hate relationship towards homosexuality that was also present in the Nazis.

A friend of mine who worked for many years in Arab countries told me that there was rampant homosexuality among the muslims. It wasn't all that surprising to me to hear that, considering how they disrespect women.
