I'm not flying to England any time soon!

No offense intended but I had to check this source. I thought that this must be a satire piece.
My apologies, it's true and I'm speechless.

How about all those involved in that decision be the first to fly on a plane with a blind pilot.

I thought that this must be a satire piece. Me too.. Is everyone losing their freaking minds?

I thought so too but I'm not terribly surprised. A few years back a one-eyed pilot in the US sued an airline for discrimination when they refused to hire him and the case dragged on for quite a while.

Oh yeah, and have blind air traffic controllers oversee their flight.

The CASA is the Aussie version of the FAA.
As a pilot, I too am speechless.
Stop the world now, I wanna get off...

The finding, by the Federal Attorney General's Department Did this finding come right after the Department dropped its requirement that new employees have brains?

Please tell me they're joking.
Please.
This article brings up all SORTS of scenarios, all of them unpleasant.
Flight attendants aren't glorified waitresses. They're there for safety. I want them to be able to get to the emergency exit quickly.
Severa; close friends are ATC, both Center and local. They MUST be tough mentally. I couldn't do it, and I'm not marshmallow.
Hell, if they do this, the only way I'll go to the UK is by boat.

God help us all if this oozes across the Pond to the States. It's bad enough when some of the local towers are home to ... uh ... developmentals, those coming back from the beach, or those from the Train to Succeed programs.
Why do I have this vision of Rainman working Boston Center...?

the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission ought to be the first on board when one of these disabilitites gets their license.

Note to Self: Scratch England off list of places it would be nice to goto.
This is beyond insane.

When I read stories like this I feel as if life is becoming one long, tedious, maddening episode of Star Trek: Voyager.
