IMO the Daschle/Gephardt combo was plotted to cater to the homosexual/pro-abortion wing of the liberal democrat party. The wearing of the pink tie and the use of the phrase 'soul mates' are specifically designed affectations used to send a message to the wealthiest and most likely voters in the liberal base...and the very basest use of polling data.

For various reasons, well summed up by Steyn, the ploy is patently obvious to all. For all their guise and hyperbole the antics of Daschle and Gephardt amount to nothing more than spitting in the wind.

We need to enjoy ourselves while we can. Because if the past is any indicator the stupid party of Lott and company will end up turning this opportunity into a Dem. victory. Any day now I expect to see Lott on the tube apologizing for Bush being mean to Dashole.
