Hooray for whoever removed these vile creatures from the face of this planet....

Those who get outraged against feral cats have never worked where nasty vermin like rats are a plague...
If they had, they wouldn't care the least whether the cats killed the rats for food or sport.
They'd only be dam* happy that the rats were dead.

You are incorrect in so many ways in that statement. I have worked in industrial areas for 30 years where there are always plenty of cats and rats. The cat population makes no difference in the rat population, they all seem to get along just fine. As for the plague, it is spread by the fleas. Fleas live on rats, cats, and the winos under the bridge.
