The stuff that needs to be addressed by the Bush Justice Department post haste is to authenticate that amazing 99% turnout in Wayne County Michigan in 2000, the equally impessive 98% turnout in Philadelphia, the guys from Marquette University who laughed "yeah, we all voted several times", the busloads of pre-registered voters who weren't "registered dammit and I'm gonna vote anyway" loudmouths in St. Louis, and nationwide misdirection and gross underestimation of likely GOP candidate absentee votes counted in Washington State, New Mexico and Michigan. Do we trust this important method to the caressing care of civil service union guys working for the Post Office? A vote for Slade Gorton cast by a guy from some carrier in the Indian Ocean ended up in Belgium or Denmark. How many ended up in a fireplace? How does one verify that their absentee ballot was actually received and counted?
