Tom Harkin does not implode. This prairie socialist will stand alongside "Comrade Fidel" and fight for socialism to his last dying breath. Too bad the people of IA can't understand what kind of philosophy that they have underwritten all the years. And they say IA has about the best public schools in the nation! Undoubtedly IA schools have not taught much history in recent years, or the children haven't learned their lessons at any rate. Just looking at the sanctimonious Harkin in the trial of AR Bill made me want to throw up!

And they say IA has about the best public schools in the nation!A big lie. The reason Iowa school children score so well on standardized exams is due totally to demographics, NOTHING else. In cities that attract minorities and others seeking "services," the scores are nothing to brag about. If you look at the stats regarding student achievement and demographics, this fact becomes obvious. Demographics, not spending or politics, determines student achievement.

And they say IA has about the best public schools in the nation!Well consider that statement for a minute. Who says they are the best and by whose and what criteria? The governments?

As long as Harkin keeps the agricultural pork gray train running, the people of IA will continue to send his sorry ass back to Washington. It's a sad truth.

Iowa has fine schools. They also have a slew of farmers and agro types who fancy themselves the guardians of heartland values, while carefully avoiding the fact that their lips have been surgically attached to the federal teat for about 70 years.
There's more welfare in Iowa than there is in New York City.
