Hollywood diva Barbra Streisand is coming out of retirement to help raise money for America's Democratic Party. The The Way We Were singer, 60, who is a staunch opponent of President George W. Bush, will sing nine tunes for a Hollywood benefit gig for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Barbra and Barry Manilow will join other stars at Sunday's bash at the Kodak Theatre in Tinseltown. In August 2000, the Hello Dolly star helped raise $5 million for the Democratic Party by singing at a star-studded gig following Al Gore's nomination for president. David Foster, producer of Sunday's event, says, "Barbra's passionate belief in the importance of the Democratic Party's regaining control of the House is so deep that she has decided to sing three times as many songs as was originally planned." David adds Barbra will be singing a "political parody that will raise a few eyebrows."

Notice the last line. Can you just imagine the whining, and demands for an apology from Tommygirl Daschle, if a conservative was doing this about her beloved Bubba?

I wouldn't go to this event if they offered free barf bags and tums.

Klinton would stick it to anyone if the rumors are true and he stuck it to babs. Yeaks! She's certainly at least a double bagger.

"We idiots plan to gather 'round in one disgusting, self-congratulatory circle jerk."
Seriously, Babs needn't sing a political parody; the whole event itself will be one.

All I can say is, Brolin must have a stack of paper bags on his night table. She's gross.

I am sure he did. Whether due to his desire (certainly low enough) or her regal command (she is certainly capable of demanding a command performance) we will never know.

Can you imagine the outcry from the media if Charleton Heston acted as loony as Babs? I'm just glad that mental case is the Dims's problem, and not ours.
To: Paul Atreides
Streisand is still here? I thought (an prayed) that she and the Baldwin brothers would follow through on their threat to leave the country if George Bush became President.

It's all a part of the liberal arrogance. You see, they feel that the United States cannot live without their guidance.
