Done.

Sent an irate note to Amazon yesterday, here is what I got back:
Thank you for writing to Amazon.com with your concern.
Let me assure you, Amazon.com does not endorse "Understanding Loved Boys and Boy lovers." Simply because we sell a book does not mean we agree with the ideas it contains. If you will look at our site, you
will see that we have posted a review of the book by one of our editors which is highly critical of the ideas expressed in Mr. Riegel's book.
Please know that, contrary to rumors that have been circulating around the Internet, this book is not a "how-to" manual for molesting children. The author simply expresses his point of view about what he feels are "misunderstood" relationships between men and boys.
We believe that people have the right to choose their own reading material. Our goal is to support freedom of expression and to provide customers with the broadest selection possible so they can find, discover, and buy any title they might be seeking. That selection includes some titles which most people, including employees of Amazon.com, may find distasteful or otherwise objectionable.
However, Amazon.com believes it is censorship to make a book
unavailable to our customers because we believe its message to be
repugnant. While we do not censor items from our web site, I wanted
to reassure you that Amazon.com does not promote these kinds of
titles.
We value all feedback from our customers, and I thank you again for
taking the time to send us your comments about this issue.
Best regards,
Laura S

No, you have not used my logic. Sex with an underaged person is illegal. A book about pedophiles is not. So whether something is legal or not is what defines your morality. That's nice.
To the rest of us with a functioning moral compass, this is a reprehensable behavior. If you can't see that by even just selling the book, they are, in a way, endorsing the lifestyle, then there really isn't any hope for you.
I just hope the majority of the FReepers take repub32's advice.
To: FourtySeven; mlo
"this is a reprehensable behavior"="this is reprehensable behavior" and "endorsing"="enabling"
Everything else remains the same.

If you can't see that by even just selling the book, they are, in a way, endorsing the lifestyle, then there really isn't any hope for you. FourtySeven's right on, mlo. Put the law aside. Selling this book is a moral atrocity. Anyone who stood up at a football stadium and exhorted men to rape women would be excoriated. This is no different - except that Bezos may actually help encourage some child rapist pervert to find an innocent child victim. Bezos is a virtual molestor and is no better than NAMBLA. He should be deeply ashamed of himself - and people who support this should be ashamed of themselves as well.
To: Jeff Chandler; mlo
It is our Constitutional right to bring pressure upon anyone who sells a book like that. Damn right.
To: Timesink
Either Freepers support the Constitution, or they don't. Apparently some like to pick and choose their amendments on a cafeteria plan, like the RATS. This is a moral issue. Bezos is helping people who promote child rape. He is not required to sell this book. Bezos - NAMBLA
To: zacharycole
I ain't never buying a book from Jeff NAMBLA Bezos again.
To: dark_lord
It's immoral to help the promotion of child rape.
To: ChuckHam
Using your logic a person who sells sex with a underage person shouldn't be prosecuted either. Hell, since there is a market for snuff flicks I guess I could sell it as well and you wouldn't care if I did. Right on, ChuckHam. Bezos = NAMBLA
To: DoughtyOne
When it comes to violating under-age children, I have no tollerance for the act, or trying to talk others into the act. Some pedophile pervert may well molest a child after reading the book purchased on Amazon. That child's suffering will be on Bezos' head. Bezos = NAMBLA
To: repub32
I'm a hard-working dad with three children who are endangered every day by adult pervert molestors. We had a boy down the road from us last year who was pulled aside at a town carnival, sodomized repeatedly by a man and then suffocated to death. My Church has been scandalized by homosexual rapist priests who prey on teenage boys. If Bezos wants the bucks he collects from the child rapists more than from me and people like me, so be it. He's taking sides. So will I.

Ask them if they would be willing to sell Mein Kampf to buyers in Germany. Not endorsing the ideas, just selling some books for quick cash of course...

Thanks for the links. I wrote and asked to be fully removed from their databanks. I would never be a Amazon buyer again, and I do mean it.

I'm sure that this publicity will vastly increase sales of this book. Great idea, Mr. Falwell!

There are no dangerous books, only dangerous people Actually I would refine that a bit: There are dangerous people who read, utilize, or are inspired by dangerous books
