All the ladies on this thread are getting a little hot for Rummy!

Of course, it's not as if there hasn't been a thread or two here about Anna Kournakova for the gentlemen...

Carl Cameron has a draft of the Iraq resolution that will be presented to Senate dems at 4:00 PM. It takes out the words "in the region" from the res. No big deal. It's all window-dressing anyway.

If the mis-quote fits, its fit to print.

Sort of like if the glove fits...

Rummy gets all the chicks because he's got it all - brains, humor, confidence, playfulness with the press. Yes, it's the playfulness and masterful handling of the press that make him a favorite of mine. He was born to "handle them" and they don't know how to rattle him.

Heheheh! President Bush is a patient man, who gives people time to do the right thing.

He also warned Tiny Tim to NEVER lie to him. Well, Tommy's gonna find out the hard way, what W meant.

This is no end run - Para 17 of the presidents speech before the U.N. as well as the proposed resolution both contain statements linkin Iraq to Al Qaeda

Actually it was in paragraph 15

Each time I read the speech I learn somthing I hadn't caught when he gave the speech.

Excerpt from UN Speech:

In 1991, the U.N. Security Council, through Resolution 687, demanded that Iraq renounce all involvement with terrorism, and permit no terrorist organizations to operate in Iraq. Iraq's regime agreed. It broke this promise. In violation of Security Council Resolution 1373, Iraq continues to shelter and support terrorist organizations that direct violence against Iran, Israel, and Western governments. Iraqi dissidents abroad are targeted for murder. In 1993, Iraq attempted to assassinate the Emir of Kuwait and a former American President. Iraq's government openly praised the attacks of September the 11th. And al Qaeda terrorists escaped from Afghanistan and are known to be in Iraq.

For the same reason Ann Coulter gets all the guys: there's something very, very sexy in the confluence of brains, looks, self-confidence and morality.

I say morality from a female viewpoint. I hear that many men find 'naughty' women attractive. I think the reason so many women here are Cheney chicks, etc., is that we women on the right are turned on by clean-cut, powerful men of high moral conviction.

When Henry Hyde made his "I love the rule of law" speech prior to the i42's 'acquittal', I was truly in rapture.

The press, disgruntled that the administration isn't groveling and apologizing to Daschle, realizes their plan has backfired. They were upset that Rumsfeld was just now telling them about the Al Qaeda (nevermind that he said something about it 2 weeks ago, and that it was in the President's UN speech AND in the resolution sent to Congress). They also accused him of holding the information until a convenient time, and taking part in an "orchestrated effort" based on "political purposes." The evidence for this is that he used some of the same phrases as Condi Rice. Apparently, if you say "debriefed prisoner, a single source" and someone else uses that phrase, you are "orchestrating" things.

Of course, they happily wrote off Democrat talking points for ten damn years, but never mind about THAT!

Rumsfeld was unflappable, as usual, although the snotty reporter got the Rumsfeld laser look. Ha!

Hipixs will probably post the transcript in a little while. It should be great reading!

When asked by a moron if Rummy's "proof" of Al Quada in Iraq was part of an "orchestrated effort" by the administration (since Condi Rice had said the same last night), he made a quip about the orchestra playing badly .

When pressed he repeatedly said that since he just got back into town LAST NIGHT he was giving them the info ASAP.

I would be pressing the people of Pennsylvania to retire him.

Well, I'm one of those people and I'm getting ready to retire him, as soon as I can. Words just don't do justice... Aargh!

Actually I hope we hit Saudi Arabia before Iraq. Saudi Arabia is the birthing place for all these terrorists. We need to turn the whole place into a glass parking lot.

It wouldn't matter what Condi/Bush/Rummy/Cheney had to say, or when they said it, or how they said it. They will always be accused of being under-handed and/or wrong. That, of course, is because they all have such a long history of being liars, lacking in credibility, and generally incompetent - right? Yeah, that's what Americans think of these people when see them. Oh wait, the polls say something else.....
